Practical Unarmed Combat
London/NY, Frederick Warne, (1942). Inscribed by the author: "To the charming nice fellow Ben Browne/ M Feldenkrais." Feldenkrais, a Ukranian-Israeli engineer and physicist, and black belt in Judo, was one of the somatic pioneers of the 20th century and is best known today for founding the Feldenkrais Method of optimizing movement through awareness (and awareness through movement). Practical Unarmed Combat was his second book, after Judo. Any signed volume by Feldenkrais is scarce. 4" x 5-1/2", heavily illustrated, bound in near fine soft boards, with a very good, price-clipped dust jacket. [#035976] $750
