NY, Putnam's, 1930. A conservationist, zoologist, and aquatic biologist, Morgan taught at Mount Holyoke College and authored three books, this being her first, which went into at least 15 printings. She was one of three women listed, of 250 entries, in the 1933 edition of American Men of Science. Owner name and second owner blindstamp on flyleaf; light shelf wear to cloth; near fine in a very good dust jacket with minor wear to the edges and folds.
