Both letters give reasons for not being able to read the book in question in a timely enough manner to provide publicity praise, but each expresses admiration for Lavin's writing. The earlier note is signed in full as "Mary Frances Fisher." Both are folded for mailing, else fine. A couple of nice comments on Lavin's writing by Fisher, even if not suitable for blurbs.
