Fagin taught English at Johns Hopkins, and this copy is inscribed by the author: "To Professor Gilbert Chinard/ with grateful acknowledgments," in the year of publication. Chinard is also acknowledged in the book's Preface, "for first directing my attention to Bartram." A near fine copy in a very good dust jacket with a small stain at the front spine fold.
