The Meaning of Happiness
NY, Harper & Brothers, (1940). An early, pre-war book by Watts, who became the foremost exponent of Zen Buddhism in the West during the postwar years. Published when the author was only 25, and one of his first full-length volumes of philosophy and comparative religion, the original edition is quite uncommon today. Light foxing to top edge and endpages, and some dulling to the spine gilt. Still a near fine copy, lacking the dust jacket. [#035625] SOLD
