The true first edition of this highly praised novel, published by El Leon Literary Arts in an edition of 1200 copies before being bought up by Atlantic Monthly to be issued in an edition of 60,000 copies in 2010. Signed by the author. The original edition is scarce: when Atlantic Monthly bought the book for publication, they bought all the remaining copies of the El Leon edition. They originally planned to issue the book under an alternate title, Some Desperate Glory, and even produced galleys with that title, before reverting back to the original title. Of the total edition of 1200 copies, it is unknown how many made it into the market before being bought up by Atlantic but it is surely very few: this is only the second copy we've seen.
