Truman Capote
NY, Doubleday, (1997). A biography, compiled by Plimpton and presented as a collection of recollections by "friends, enemies, acquaintances, and detractors." This copy belonged to Virginia Spencer Carr, biographer of Carson McCullers and Paul Bowles, and bears Carr's ownership signature. Carr's anecdote about Capote (which is really about McCullers) appears on page 56 of the book. A fine copy in a very near fine dust jacket with just a nick to the upper spine. [#034992] SOLD
