Soldiers' Pay
Garden City, Sun Dial Press, (1937). First thus: the "Hampton Court Edition," published by the Sun Dial Press. "Hampton Court Editions" were upscale, uniform editions of books by famous authors. Petersen A2.4. This is a fine copy in a good, internally tape-repaired and price-clipped dust jacket with "J&R" stamped on the front flap. Promotional bookmark laid in with a partial list of the other books published by the press. An interesting, short-lived wrinkle in American publishing history: Sun Dial Press existed for many years, reprinting hundreds, if not thousands, of titles, but "Hampton Court Editions" seem to have existed for only a short period of time, and then been rolled back into regular Sun Dial publications.
