The Looking-Glass
Bronxville, Sarah Lawrence College, 1943. Two poems by Kizer, "So Speak" and ""I Dreamed I Was Saint Augustine," in this publication by the English Department of Sarah Lawrence College, designated as being "For Classroom Use." Kizer would have been a 17 year-old sophomore at the time: three months later she would have a poem ("When You Are Distant") published in The New Yorker. Her first book was not published until 16 years later. Modest spotting and sunning; very good in stapled wrappers. Uncommon. [#033636] SOLD
