Port Townsend, Copper Canyon Press, (1976). The first book, a collection of poems, by this writer who is an enrolled member of the Eastern Band of the Cherokee tribe. This book won the Washington State Governor's First Book Award in 1976. Inscribed by the author to another Native American poet in 1977, "with great respect for your writing, your support of newer poets, and your inspiration as a Keeper of Tradition."
