Portland, Prensa de Lagar, 1969. The first book by this Mississippi poet of Choctaw descent. Originally named Bess Miller, she shortened her name to "besmilr," with no capital letters. Brigham was a student of Robert Duncan and a frequent poetic contributor to anthologies and literary magazines in the 1960s and 70s. This title was printed in an edition of 450 copies.
