NY, Marek, 1978. A review copy of the reissue of this novel of Leah, New Hampshire, the fictional town in which most of Williams' stories and novels are set, originally published in 1961. With a short introduction by the author for this edition. Two small sticker shadows on the front pastedown; else a fine copy in a lightly rubbed dust jacket. Williams was co-winner of the National Book Award in 1975 and was a longtime friend of, and influence on, such younger New England writers as John Irving and Andre Dubus. [#012092] SOLD
