(n.p.), Lynx House Press, 1979. The second book by the Pulitzer Prize-winning poet. Inscribed by the author in 1999 to fellow poets C.D. Wright and her husband, Forrest Gander, "with great admiration." Wright and Gander both taught in Providence (she at Brown; he at Providence College and later Brown), and on the date of the inscription (April 22), Komunyakaa was giving a reading at Brown of Vietnam-themed writings, along with Tim O'Brien and Philip Caputo.
