Sun Tracks
(Tuscon), (U. of Arizona), 1976-1979. Highly important journal of Native American writing, conceived and produced by Indian students at the University of Arizona and one of the first such publications to appear in the renaissance of Native American literature that began after N. Scott Momaday's House Made of Dawn won the 1969 Pulitzer Prize. Eventually Sun Tracks the journal evolved into an important book publishing program at the university. It was a quarterly, but publication was erratic and by 1978 it was an annual publication. Contributors are a virtual Who's Who of Native American literature. Three issues, as follows: Volume 3, No. 1; Volume 4, Volume 5. All items very good except Volume 3, No. 1 which is missing the front cover; rear cover detached; fair only. [#025901] SOLD
