Like his first book, The Naked and the Dead, this title was published in black pseudo-cloth boards that rub remarkably easily, with a coarse paper dust jacket printed in black, which also tends to show wear. This is a near fine copy in a very good, price-clipped dust jacket, with fading to the title block on the spine, rubbing to the folds, and light edge chipping.
