Vietnam Through Indian Eyes
New Delhi, Consulate General of the Republic of Vietnam, (n.d.). A collection of contemporary essays on South Vietnam, by Indian authors. Stamped "with the Compliments of the Consulate General of the Republic of Viet-Nam in India." An interesting publication from the interim period between the end of the French war and the beginning of the unrest which led to the overthrow of Diem. With photographs of Diem and Madame Nhu, and much optimistic coverage of the current situation. "Library of Congress Surplus Duplicate" stamp on front cover. Small ink scribble to flyleaf; one hole punch to rear cover; lower spine split. Very good in wrappers. An uncommon item: OCLC locates only 12 copies worldwide, variously dated 1957, 1958, or 1959.
