What Thou Lovest Well, Remains American
NY, Norton, (1975). Poems of the American West, by a Montana poet whose poetry was twice nominated for the National Book Award, and who was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize in two different genres -- fiction and poetry. Hugo also became editor of the prestigious Yale Younger Poets series a few years after this book was published. This copy is inscribed by the author to a Native American poet: "Fellow poet, [?] and may all you love well remain/ Dick." Hugo's signature is uncommon.
