Additionally inscribed by Heller to poet Cid Corman, whose accession notation is written at the bottom of the front endpaper: "For Cid/ I've tried to make the book/ justify its last three lines. I hope/ you enjoy, are moved, by some of this.../ with friendship, respect & love./ Mike." The last three lines of the book read: "for the otherness is beautiful/ and terror and delight/ in the same moment flood the heart."
