The Prince
NY, Morrow, 1972. The first book in a trilogy set in the fictional Central American country of Tinieblas, a country very similar to Panama, where the author grew up. The trilogy, and this book in particular, was highly praised for its authenticity and insight. John Le Carre thanked Koster in The Tailor of Panama for helping him and providing him access as well as "wise counsel." Nominated for the National Book Award. Signed by the author in the year of publication on the front flyleaf. Lengthy gift inscription (in Panama, apparently) on the verso of the half title. Dusty top edge; else fine in a near fine, dusty and price-clipped dust jacket. [#010702] SOLD

All books are first printings of first editions or first American editions unless otherwise noted.
